The complete guide to caring for bouclé

Bouclé's looped yarn hides everyday wear better than flat weaves, but a little routine care goes a long way.

Weekly

Vacuum with a soft brush attachment on low suction, moving in the direction of the loops. Plump and rotate seat cushions to spread wear evenly.

Spills

Blot, never rub. Use a clean white cloth and lukewarm water with a drop of mild wool detergent. Work from the outside of the stain inwards.

Snags

Never pull a loose loop. Gently push it back with a blunt needle from the underside, or trim it flush with sharp scissors.
